"Unpopular Culture"

“Pornography” and its negative effects on our culture.

Pornography and its existence, has gone back almost as far as humans themselves. Archeologists have dug up artifacts from before ancient Chinese and Egyptian cultures were first thought to have begun. The consisted of different types of sculptures depicting sex between men and woman. And even more disturbing, sex acts with the same sex and even with animals.    Later in history, the more common  pornographic pieces were pictures and paintings, but in 1839 photography was invented and then there were no holds bared. It made pornography accessable to the masses and much easier to reproduce and profit from.

Pornography has long been condemned and legally proscribed in the belief that it depraves and corrupts both minors and adults and that it leads to the commission of sex crimes. Occasionally, important artistic or even religious works have been banned because they are considered pornographic under such assumptions. From the beginning of men and woman, Just about all religious groups have condemned the act of pornography.
They say that “God says it’s the way to the devil and fortification without marriage is sinful”. Don’t really know if I believe in that one, but sometimes enough should be enough. Why is it that everyone wants what they don’t have, and doesn’t appreciate what they do have? It’s sad and we all should be happy for what and who  we have.
Pornography has had a devastating effect on a lot of couples and marriages, some studies have shown that the percentages of relationships failing due to pornography are on the rise.  Married men involved in pornography report feeling less satisfied with their marital relations and less emotionally attached to their wives, the study says. It also notes that men who regularly use pornography or women who engage in “cyber sex” show increased infidelity. It’s said that the use of pornography more than triples the divorce rate, and that 68% of divorces involved one of the partners meeting someone new over the internet.
Internet pornography has become a wide spread epidemic and also has damaged many relationships. 68% of divorces have been blamed on one part having a “obsession with internet porn”.
The internet makes the delivery of porn to easy for people who have these types of addictions. Pornography is like a drug and can become very addictive. Porn addicts have a harder time recovering than cocaine addicts, because it’s easier to get drugs out of your system than images out of your mind.
Pornography really does, unlike other addictions, biologically cause direct release of the most perfect addictive substance, it causes masturbation, which causes release of the naturally occurring opioids. It does what heroin can't do, in effect. It’s also been said that there’s a growing number of men that are developing sexual problem’s induced by porn. It seems that with each new dopamine spike, the brain is losing its ability to respond to dopamine signals.
Therefor the person needs increasingly higher doses of exposure to feel the same effect, thus the addiction. Pornography has a destructive effect on our society, and I don’t see how anyone can argue with that. Would anyone argue that addictive drugs like meth amphetamines are good for our society, I think not.  I’ve found countless articles and studies done by reputable people and none of them are pro- pornography.
I’ve only found one article from a professional stating that pornography can help some relationships and some people which have certain sexual problems. The only other people who seem to be for porn are pro-choice advocates and the dealers of porn that like all the money they make.

So let’s clean it up people, remember “cleanliness is next to Godliness”
